What you’ll learn:

  • The Wegovy® savings offer can reduce monthly Wegovy® costs to as little as $25 for eligible people with commercial insurance.
  • Not everyone qualifies for the $25 savings card, so checking the eligibility rules early can help you avoid confusion and plan ahead.
  • If you don’t have insurance, NovoCare® Pharmacy’s self-pay pricing and pharmacy coupon tools offer more affordable alternatives.

For a lot of people, the conversation about Wegovy® starts with how much weight they might lose, what side effects they’ll experience, and whether they’ll take it as an injection or pill. But the choice to get a prescription filled often comes down to price and affordability. At a list price of around $1,350 a month, knowing where to save is important before committing.

That’s where the Wegovy® coupon comes in. Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Wegovy®, offers a savings card that can significantly lower what eligible people pay each month, sometimes to just $25 a month, and it works for both the injection and pill. For many, it’s the most accessible way to make treatment more affordable.

But eligibility depends on insurance coverage, and the price that you’ll pay has to do with how your insurance works. Let’s walk through how the Wegovy® savings card works, who qualifies, how to use it, and what else may help reduce your monthly costs.

How do you qualify for the Wegovy® coupon?

You can only use the Wegovy coupon if you have private or commercial insurance that covers Wegovy® under its weight management benefits. Calling your insurance provider directly is the most reliable way to check. You can also use Noom’s Insurance Checker to get a quick sense of what your plan may cover.

Medicare or Medicaid work differently—those programs don’t allow manufacturer savings cards to be applied to covered prescriptions, so the savings card isn’t an option if you’re covered under either. You also can’t use the savings card if you don’t have insurance coverage, but you can get Wegovy for less through the NovoCare Pharmacy.

Here’s a look at the basic eligibility rules:

Who can use the Wegovy® coupon

  • People with a valid Wegovy® prescription for an FDA-approved use, with a valid prescriber ID on file
  • People with commercial insurance that covers Wegovy®, including those on FEHB, Affordable Care Act, or state employee plans

Who can’t use the Wegovy® coupon

  • People enrolled in government health programs like Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DOD, or TRICARE
  • Anyone whose full prescription cost is already covered by their insurance plan
  • Anyone using a cash discount card or a non-insurance discount plan as their primary coverage

What you’ll pay with the Wegovy® coupon

Novo Nordisk’s Wegovy® Savings Offer can lower what you pay each month. With commercial insurance that covers Wegovy®, the savings card can get your monthly cost down to as little as $25. But not everyone will have a $25 payment.

Here’s how it works: Your pharmacy bills your insurance first, then applies the savings card to whatever out-of-pocket cost remains. The amount you save depends on your insurance plan and the program’s maximum savings limits.

For Wegovy®, the savings card can reduce your cost by up to:

  • $100 for a 1-month prescription
  • $200 for a 2-month prescription
  • $300 for a 3-month prescription

Your final price depends on your copay or coinsurance after insurance. Here’s what that might look like for a 1-month prescription:

Your copay before the cardSavings from the cardYour final monthly cost
$75$50$25
$125$100$25
$250$100$150
$400$100$300

You may notice that both the $75 and $125 copays end up costing $25. That’s because the savings card won’t reduce your cost below $25 per month, even if the full $100 maximum discount isn’t needed.

It’s also worth knowing who doesn’t qualify. The savings card is only available to people with commercial insurance that covers Wegovy®. If you’re uninsured or your insurance doesn’t cover Wegovy®, you aren’t eligible for this program. Instead, Novo Nordisk offers a separate self-pay option (currently about $349 per month for the standard pen), which is a different program with its own eligibility requirements.

People with Medicare or Medicaid also aren’t eligible for the commercial savings card. However, some Medicare beneficiaries may qualify for Novo Nordisk’s separate Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program, which can reduce the monthly cost to $50 for eligible participants.

How can I use the Wegovy® coupon?

Getting the savings card set up is straightforward, and the general process is the same for both the Wegovy® pens and pills. If you’ve confirmed you’re eligible, here’s exactly what to do to get the savings card working for you.

  • Step 1: Enroll in the savings offer. Sign up through the Wegovy® Savings Offer form or text SAVE to 83757. You’ll just need your prescription information on hand. Any prescriptions filled before you enroll aren’t eligible for the discount and can’t be reimbursed.
  • Step 2: Head to a participating pharmacy. The savings card is valid at participating retail pharmacies across the U.S. If you’re in Massachusetts, availability may depend on state law at the time you use it, so it’s worth checking ahead.
  • Step 3: Let your pharmacy run your insurance first. As mentioned earlier, the savings card works as a secondary payer, meaning your commercial insurance gets applied to your cost first, and then the card covers part of what’s left over, up to the program’s savings limits.
  • Step 4: Pay your remaining balance. After both your insurance and the savings card are applied, you pay whatever is left.

A few other rules worth knowing:

  • The card is limited to one per person and can’t be transferred or shared.
  • You need to meet the eligibility requirements every time you use it, not just at enrollment.
  • It can’t be stacked with other coupons, vouchers, or discount programs, though it can be used with a manufacturer-sponsored automatic eVoucher at participating pharmacies.
  • If your insurance uses an accumulator adjustment or maximizer program, meaning a setup where your insurer doesn’t count outside savings toward what you owe out of pocket, you won’t qualify for the savings card. Your insurance member services or HR team can tell you whether your plan works this way.

How much will you save in a year with the Wegovy® coupon?

Your actual savings will depend on your specific insurance plan—how much it covers, your deductible, and whether you qualify for the $25 monthly copay. Here’s how to think about the range you might fall into.

The savings card caps what it covers per fill:

  • $100 off a 1-month fill
  • $200 off a 2-month fill
  • $300 off a 3-month fill

(Same caps for both the pen and the pills.) That works out to a maximum of $1,200 per year from the card alone.

But most people combine the card with commercial insurance, and that’s where the bigger number comes from. If your insurance covers the rest of the cost so that your out-of-pocket lands at the $25/month copay, your total savings compared to paying Wegovy’s $1,349 list price entirely out of pocket would be:

($1,349 − $25) × 12 months = $15,888 per year

So: $1,200 is what the card itself can save you. $15,888 is the ceiling on combined savings—card + insurance—versus paying full list price with no coverage at all. Your actual number will land somewhere between those two figures, depending on what your specific plan covers.

Can you use the Wegovy® coupon with no insurance?

The $25 savings card is only available to people with commercial insurance that covers Wegovy®, so without that coverage, that particular offer won’t apply. If insurance won’t cover Wegovy®, you have another option.

NovoCare® Pharmacy offers self-pay pricing for people paying out of pocket, and it’s a significant drop from the list price. Here’s a look at the prices for the injection and the pill:

MedicationMonthly cost
Wegovy injection$199 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg
$349 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg, and 2.4 mg
$399 7.2 mg
Wegovy pill$149 1.5 mg
$149 4 mg (limited-time, through August 31, 2026); $199 (after August 31, 2026)
$299 9 mg and 25 mg

Frequently asked questions about the Wegovy® coupon

Still have questions? Here are answers to some of the most common ones people have about saving on Wegovy®.

If I have Medicare, what are my options for lower-priced Wegovy®?

If you have Medicare Part D, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, which launched July 1, 2026, now makes Wegovy® available for $50 a month at any dose. The program runs through December 31, 2027, and covers both the injection and the pill. People with Medicare can’t use the Wegovy coupon.

Eligibility is based on your BMI and health history at the time you first started GLP-1 therapy. For everything you need to know, check out our full guide on Medicare and Wegovy®

How much does the Wegovy® coupon save me?

The amount you save depends on your insurance coverage and how much you would have paid without the savings offer. For eligible people with commercial insurance, the Wegovy® Savings Offer may significantly reduce monthly costs, with some people paying as little as $25 per month. Your final savings will vary based on factors like your copay, coinsurance, and the program’s maximum savings limits.

How can I get Wegovy® for $25 a month?

The $25 monthly price is tied to the Wegovy® Savings Offer for eligible people with commercial insurance coverage for Wegovy®. Your pharmacy first processes your insurance and then applies the savings card to your remaining out-of-pocket cost. Not everyone qualifies, so it’s important to review the program’s eligibility requirements before expecting that price.

Will Wegovy® get cheaper in 2026?

For a lot of people, it has. The Wegovy® pill became broadly available in early 2026, and for those paying out of pocket, NovoCare® Pharmacy offers a starting cash-pay price of $149 per month.

Medicare beneficiaries also have the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program launching July 1, 2026, bringing costs as low as $50 per month for those who qualify.

On top of that, a lower list price of $675 per month is set to go into effect on January 1, 2027, which could bring costs down further across the board.

Is there a generic for Wegovy®?

No, there isn’t an FDA-approved generic version of Wegovy® or semaglutide available in the United States yet. Wegovy® remains protected by patents, which means Novo Nordisk is currently the only company that can sell this version of semaglutide. Most estimates put the earliest possible U.S. generic availability in the early-to-mid 2030s, once patent protections begin to expire.

How can I afford Wegovy® if my insurance doesn’t cover it?

If your insurance doesn’t cover Wegovy®, you still may have a few options. NovoCare® Pharmacy offers cash-pay pricing that can be substantially lower than the medication’s list price—ranging from $199 to $399 per month for the injection, and $149 to $299 per month for the pill, depending on your dose.

Reviews from real Noom users

The bottom line: The Wegovy® coupon can bring your costs down if you have insurance

For people with commercial insurance, the Wegovy® coupon can help with monthly costs, bringing your out-of-pocket cost down to as little as $25 a month. That’s a significant difference from the $1,350 list price, and over the course of a year, those savings can really add up.

That said, the Wegovy® coupon isn’t available to everyone, and what you actually pay depends on how your insurance handles Wegovy® and how the card gets applied at your pharmacy. Knowing the eligibility rules upfront and checking your coverage before your first fill can help you avoid surprises and make the most of what’s available to you.

Affording the medication is one part of the equation, but having the right support around it matters just as much. See if you qualify for Noom Med. If you do, you’ll be paired with a clinician who can evaluate your options, prescribe medication if needed, and help you understand the bigger treatment picture, including costs, coverage, and long-term support.
