How is my weight goal determined?

Your weight goal and zone are automatically calculated according to recommendations by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Diabetes Prevention Plan. Your weight loss goal will be 7% off of your current weight (or 93% of your current weight).

As an example, if your current weight is 200 lbs., a 7% reduction in weight would equal a weight loss goal of 186 lbs. However, you may adjust your weight goal as you wish in the Noom app.

If you’re on an iOS device:

  1. Open Noom and tap the hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the screen
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Scroll down to Goal Weight and tap the Goal Weight bar to open up the slider bar
  4. If needed, you can tap poundskilograms, or stone to toggle between these options
  5. Slide your finger left or right across the slider bar to select your new goal weight

If you’re on an Android device:

  1. Open Noom and tap the hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the screen
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Weight Loss Plan
  4. Tap Target Weight
  5. If needed, you can tap poundskilograms, or stone to toggle between these options
  6. Slide your finger left or right across the slider bar to select your new goal weight
  7. Tap the circle with the selected target weight to save it
