Welcome to the DYNAMO Study!
The DYNAMO Study is the Digital Noom Approach to Metabolic Outcomes Study. We are excited that you are participating!
Study overview
The DYNAMO Study is a 28-month (2-year) virtual program.
During Year 1, you will be asked to complete a weekly online module with information related to health and wellness. You will also receive an online survey every 3 months, plus a baseline survey at the very start of the study. There will be five total surveys in Year 1.
During Year 2, you will receive an online survey every 6 months. There will be two total surveys in Year 2.
Each online survey is a timepoint in the study. Each timepoint has three requirements:
- The online survey questions.
- An A1C self-blood test (using the kits we ship to you), plus submitting the results to the online survey.
- A body weight measurement (using the scale we ship to you), plus submitting the results to the online survey.
Once you have completed all three requirements for a timepoint, you will receive an Amazon gift card via email as compensation. You will receive a total of up to $220 as payment for completing all study requirements.

FAQs
What do I need to do with the A1C blood test kits?
To complete a self-blood test with the finger prick A1C test kit, follow the detailed instructions.
Each A1C test kit that you receive will come with two tests. After you use the first test for a study timepoint, keep the other test PLUS the analyzer for a later timepoint in the study!
We will let you know when it is time to throw everything away. Please don’t discard anything until you receive instructions to do so!
I completed a timepoint - why haven’t I received compensation?
After you have completed the surveys, completed and submitted your A1C test, and completed and submitted your body scale values for each time point, you will have to manually enter your email address in a form that is linked in the survey to let us know that you have finished. After the research team has ensured that we have received everything for that timepoint, you will receive an email from noom@customer.rybbon.net with your Amazon gift card. Sometimes the gift card emails end up in your spam folder, so be sure to check there!
