Noom 3.0 is Now Available

We’re very excited to announce that we have rolled out the New 3.0 version of Noom Weight Loss Coach to all members. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without all of the awesome support and feedback from our loyal Noomers, so we’d like to sincerely thank you for all of your help.

New Design
The member’s daily coach-assigned content is now front and center along with any other optional tasks you complete.
Rewards and Motivation
Now each Noom task is worth a certain number of points, which reflects the difficulty of the task. As you gain points, you’ll move up through the levels, making it easy to track progress and stay motivated.
Food Logging
We meticulously updated the food-logging interface to make it faster to record everything eaten throughout the day. With the addition of Dial-a-Meal, Saved Meals, and Sandwich & Soup Makers it’s ultra-fast. The coach also provides immediate feedback to help you learn how each meal fits into your daily calorie budget.
Pedometer Integration
The app can now automatically track your steps no matter where you are, and rewards you with points for the activity — without using huge amounts of battery.
Expanded Content Library
Noom editors have written and collected over twice as much educational, inspiring content including new challenges, surveys, and articles. And we’re adding more every week.

The pedometer functionality is either not working or aiming to something different than I thought. I walk more than 1000 steps every day, with my phone on me. But the app never counts more than 50 or 60. The only time it did was when I was recording a 2 mile walk that I take every week from work to home. What’s the idea (or goal) of that function?

I have just installed noom 3.0 and it is not working at all. I try to read the welcome article and it says service error please wait. I’ve tried it several times over the last 24 hours but no luck.
Thanks Victoria

i just bought a lifetime membership (thanks for this great offer!) and i love the new noom! expecially the pedometer.. but last time, i was in the car and because of car’s movements noom counted 300 steps..
it would be great if i could enable or disable the pedometer from the widget..! Oh make a better design to the pedometer widget! i don’t like it a lot! :p

I’m having the same issue with the pedometer- I just re-downloaded after not having it on my phone for a while, and I really like a lot of the enhancements. Plus, on my phone, any pedometer app I’ve ever used hasn’t shown to be very accurate without the GPS, and both GPS and pedometer alone will chews up battery like mad. I’m willing to try some options, but I cannot have my phone running out of battery by the end of the work day. If I can’t stop it from chewing battery, I’ll have to take it off my phone, whether I like it or not ):
Please give us an option to just disable the “phone tries to be pedometer” bit in the prefs, not just keep turning it off,
and let us enter in an end-of-day number.
